In Ohio , a bow is legal for waterfowl .
But a crossbow is not , I think the feds banded crossbows but not sure .
I have taken 2 geese with my bow in 25 years of bow hunting and a number of ducks .
Both times I took a goose I was deer hunting , they swam down the river in range ( no deer around) and I shot one with my practice broadhead .

What I have found works well is to set up in a field with an opening in the decoys so the birds land downwind and inside 20 yards. You'll have a perfect target when the bird is about 2'-3' off the ground, wings open wide and landing gear down. Use the same broadheads you do for turkeys and go for center mass.

Thanks guys; I will just have to call the DNR. I have their website and the rules but can't find where it says legal weapons and restrictions. Have any of you seen the Double Bull video where these guys whack a bunch of geese? Golf courses are having major problems with geese and this nmay be a way to get on some of them that are outside of city limits and don't want firearms on their place but would be O.K. with a bow.
