I have been thinking, in Texas and I think in all other states your shotgun may only hold up to three shells. But what about hunting with two shotguns in your reach? (say two pump guns with three shells each) Also why is it there is a law, that at least not during the conservation order your shot gun may only hold up to 3 shells? And what if you had a non-toxic slug and shot a goose with that?

I'm pretty sure it's legal to carry 2 in IL.
The only time I could see it being usefull is when there is the chance to shoot both ducksand geeseat almost the same time. We always talk about having one gun loaded with heavy goose loads and one with lighter duck loads, but have never doneit.
Now if you're talking about 2 guns loaded the same, that's pretty much pointless, IMO. If you can't kill'em in the first 3 shots, you sure aren't going to kill'em by the time you switch guns and fire three more times at a birds a$$ while it's bustin' balls outta there.
'course, if you're talkin about snows, forget I said anything at all, i've never hunted snows

When both duck and goose are in , I regulary take 2 shotguns into the blind .
1 with duck loads , the other with goose loads .
I checked with the ODNR before I took 2 guns into the feild .
In Ohio , For waterfowel ,you can have as many guns in the blind as you want as long as they are all pluged to hold a max of 3 shells .
BUT I would check with your states DNR , I read that some states limmit you to 1 gun .
