Is there anyone else who is very concerned about the effect that Hurricane Katrina is going to have on the winter homes of more than 10 million ducks? What is going to happen to the deer herd in half of the state? Is there any one trying to rescue Mother Nature from the unthinkable devistation that could be, if waterfowl fly south-get infected with bacteria-and fly north again? Am I the only one more concerned about the long term impact of this on the environment, than I am about some people that don't want to leave New Orleans? Can someone help a habitat junky like me? will things ever be safe down South?

I'm sorry, I lost track for a minute there. I forgot about the large amountof creatures that live in the water of the Mighty Mississippi and The Gulf of Mexico. As the bacteria ridden waters recide( go down) that filth is going to get carried into some of the most abundantly filled waters in the world. Lets pray for them too.
