So why don't you just go up Beartown road and hunt the Erwin WMA? It's like 10 minutes from Corning. Just a thought. (BTW, It's not covered up in archery season like it is during gun season).

I will be hunting there this fall. I've been there twice this summer scouting areas I've spotted from a map. When you hunt virtually every day ofdeer season you need many stand locations in different areas. I lost a couple good chunks of land this past winter to gravel companies and the like.[:@]

Good deal. Have you also checked out the Addison area near the Pinnacle? Also, years ago, I used to go up Mulholland Road. There was alot of available acreage up there. Also, the road (forgot name) that goes up the hill on the south side of Indian Hills Golf Club (or what used to be the golf club) led to some great spots way back. They clear-cut that hilltop several years ago but it's growing back with thick, gnarly stuff now. The biggest buck I ever saw from that area came off land adjacent to some onion farms in Prattsburg. My cousin used to live up there. This ole' boy was a 12 pt. typical (?score) that dressed just over 205 lbs. He was aged at only 4.5 years too. He was taken by my cousin's son-in -law (at that time, now divorced) ! Anyway, good luck this year. I hope to get up in late October and early November myself.

I'm looking for a hunting partner here in Canisteo (8T), I'm about 30 minutes from Corning. I have 40 acres, 20 on each side of the road with a pipeline right away running through one side of it. I also leased another 43 acres within 500' nearby. I have a campground type setting. Well, electric, septic, pavillion. bring your camper or help build a small camp.
