Thanks everyone for the encouragement.. I guess it is about time to post a few more pics for you all..
This squirrel loves to raid the wife's bird feeder, but, the wife enjoys watching it..

A hawk waiting for dinner..

I see dinner..

This rabbit was able to escape this time.. Lucky brake..

I wish I could of been closer for this picture.. It's time to run..LOL

A nice size cow moose..

A pair of yearling moose that the mother must have drove off..

Grumpy snapping turtle looking for a place to lay her eggs..

A hooded merganser swiming in an old bog..

A Canadian Spruce Grouse/Partridge.. No hunting these here anyways..

As well as one of our favorite game birds to hunt.. The Ruffed Grouse..

Thanks for the reply.. I am lucky here to have quite a few lakes and wetlands to help. Also the pipeline and powerline helps draw a lot of wildlife out in the spring of the year. That will soon be ending as the summer moves on. So I will be trying to get a few Bald Eagle and Osprey pics once the heat starts getting here..

Thanks Chuck, but, keep in mind deer up here yard up during our winter months. Then when they first come out of thier yards they hit whatever green stuff they can find. As the grass and saplings start growing the green stuff again they break up and go thier own way. As they move back into the woods again you will hardly see them. That pipeline/powerline runs for around 83 miles so the chances of seeing game in the spring is pretty good right now. They are currently studying on making this a major highway for trucks to pass threw from Canada. If they do that will distroy this area from seeing any game again. The moose and deer here will end up being road kill for the most part.

Good stuff! Crank up your ISO setting on your camera and you'll avoid the motion blur.

I guess it is only fitting to give a few more pics.. I hope you all enjoy these!!

Some butterflies on a beach above and a young Roughed Grouse in a tree below..

A doe trying to sneak off..

A loon swimming with her baby on her back..

A Pileated Woodpecker beating on an old pine tree.. Some folks will never get to see one of these..

Some Canadian Geese swiming out of the way of my boat going down threw..

The American Bald Eagle flying by with a lunch it had caught..

I hope everyone had enjoyed these..

Well folks thanks for looking at these pics over the spring and summer that I have taken while still learning all the different features of my camera. This will be probaly my last update as I move on. So i hope you all have enjoyed the pics from the state of Maine that I have choosen to share with you all.. Take care my friends.


This little guy has been a blast to practice with while hanging around the wife's bird feeder..

This time he was in a jump and came out ok I guess..

I am still working on my settings and trying to get used to using the RAW mode as well. Here is a couple of more pics to share with you all..
