Default Decent Video Editing Software (free)

Im just looking for a decent video editing software that is free. What do you all use?

Im not looking for anything fancy that I can make a tv show with. Just something that allows text,a few transitions, and you can download onto a dvd so I can send out to family.

If you have a PC try Windows Movie Maker.

Movie Maker is about the only free one I can think about. If you want something cheap that's stable try Corel Ulead.

Go to the Corel website and download the Video Pro free trial. It lasts a month, and i made some sweet videos with it. Since then i have acquired the full version and im happy with it.
