How often should one use the head cleaner for dv camcorders? I will be using my cam everyday for a good 1/2 hour as I am learning it.

The guideline I've used for a long time is about every 50 hours of head use, both recording and playback, and never more than every 25 hours.
Of course it depends on the environment you're shooting in too.
Follow the instructions on the cleaner tape too.
