Default Camcorder

Looking for a cheap camcorder to tape my hunts. Not looking to make famous hunting movies, just a cheaper end camera w/ remote and not mp4 so I can easily edit the video? somen between $100-300 and recommendation? could even be little older with the 8m tapes or w.e... vhsis a little to old school and bulky.

Poker, there are all kinds of inexpensive video cameras out there that are small and compact, yet take good video. Take a loook at the Sony Handicams and other brands like Samsung and Panisonic for even less expensive ones.

Cameras < $200:

Cameras $200-$300:

When we bought ours about 8 years ago it was a Sony Handycam or something like that. 8M tapes and also a digital camera that hold the Sony Memory Stick. I think we paid about $1400. It was considered top of the line then. Now I see some nice Panasonics that record with the mini DVD for around $260? to $300 or so. Thats what I'd be looking at if I were to buy today. Pop that disk out and righ into the DVD player.
