I have been making hunting videos of my family's elk and mull deer hunts for nine years. The pv-gs35 super high 8mm, with 30x optical is a great compact videocamera. Mine is on its second year and has seen the worst of it . Last year in Septemberon a black powder elk hunt at 10,000 ft with lots of rainthe camera performed excellent vary trail worthy on foot or horse during the 13 days we were in the high country it used two bat packs and shot 4 tapes and some 200 shots with the on-board digital camera. This years hunt was just dam nasty rifle 2nd season end of October, lots of snow and mud,sleet,hail,rain,fog,mist hear again the camera has excelledin its Field.

over all its the 30x optical that lets it stand out.
