I watched my chocolate lab, Connor, who got killed a few months ago--out hunt one real fancy and expensive 'Llewellin'.
The setter gave up on a 'dug-in' bird and Connor wasn't about to. He found and flushed that bird right under our noses.
Bird went down, Connor brought him back and stuck it in my hand with a big smile. His smile said, "you don't need to be thinkin' about one of those pretty setters, see?"
I miss that dog.
Gonna hunt his brother, this year.
