My preference would be a Ithaca 37 either in 12ga or 20ga.
It is lightweight, shoots where you point it, and works everytime.

Depends upon how much you want to put into it. If its a one time thing then get any gun that sorta fits and have at it. If your serious, then the first thing I'd do is learn to shoot. My suggestion would be go to a skeet range and grab an old-timer and learn how to stand and hold the gun. Shoot a few rounds. Then go out and find a gun that will fit. When you find a gun, practice shouldering the gun.

A hunting buddy has a SKB model 100 side by side.Skb made them for ithica.
It is a sweet bird gun. I swear the thing doesnt miss..........
