Default Choke for dove

I shoot a Rem 1100 with a modified (fixed) choke, 12 guage. Trying to upgrade to a remchoke barrel to shoot i/c this year. What choke do you guys generally use for dove?

whoa! save your self alot of money and find a good gunsmith.....he can make your choked barrel accept choke tubes and the ones ive seen done look and work fine....that will save you tons.....i use a i/c or modified depending on what shot i have and how they are flying.....modified with a 12 ga though is alot....you either miss because its too tight or POOF you get a bag of feathers to bring home.....with the 12 ga i usually use the i/c.....but buying a new barrel will be 100-200 bucks easy....a choke tub job will be maybe 50 tops i think the buy around here does it for 40 with 1 tube given to you i may be wrong...

I use modified and Improved in my O/U. I have an 1100 as well with a full choke. get less birds with it, but cripple less too.

After checking around, found a gently used remchoke barrel with three chokes (26" field grade) for $130.00. There are no good shotgun gunsmiths in my area, and I figured I could sell my fixed mod barrel to recoup most of my expense. (See them on ebay for 75-100 dollars).
Thanks for the replies, guys. Sorry for the delay on responding back.
