RE: Briar chaps
I'm really getting excited. I probably could take a turn blocking every once in a while also. But I don't know if my stubborness will let me. And the doc says six weeks until 100% recovered and we aren't going until the first week in november, so hopefully my belly shouldn't be an issue. I know we will be missing out on the opener by going later, but hopefully you pros will leave some birds for us amateurs.

RE: Briar chaps
There will be plenty of birds, no need to worry about that. All of the count numbers are up from last year and last year was the best on record.
You should have a great trip with plenty of shooting. |
RE: Briar chaps
As everyone has attested here, the filson double-tin chaps are tough as nails. I bought a pair 6 years ago when I worked at Galyan's (now Dic_k's [:'(]) and they are still in excellent shape. I haven't really hunted in them for 2 years but I really tore though some thick MO rosebriar in when I was hunting them. Also, the filson Highlander hunting boot is the absolute BEST boot I've ever worn. I will be getting them re-soled when the time comes...
