I know this is a long shot but we need all the help we can get. The European Union is trying to outlaw our centuries old tradition of Spring Hunting in Malta - Europe. Malta is a tiny island in the Med that depends solely on migrating birds for sporting purposes namely quail and turtledoves. The EU'sargument is that Spring is mating season and birds shouldn't be taken. Whilst normally one would agree to this one has to see this in the context of the size of the island, the amount of birds that actually choose Malta as their migrating route (it is calculated that out of the migrating population from Africa to Europe only 0.01% actually stumble upon tiny Malta so any birds that are taken don't even dent the migrating population), and the fact that there are no resident birds to hunt all year round. At the moment there is an online poll on one of Malta's leading and influentialonline newspapers and the hunting fraternity is losing. Please show your support by voting yes for hunting in Spring.
