Default Pheasant on Long Island

Does anyone know of good areas to hunt pheasant on Long Island?

There is some state land out in Ridge that is stocked during the season.
Check with the ranger because you need a special permit for the area.
Other than that there are a couple of clubs out there

Ridge and Otis pike are supposed to be pretty good, but you have to have a "reservation" to pick a spot out there.
I am not really into the clubs. Besides being very expensive ($1800-2000/yr), I don't like shooting penned up birds.
