Sept.13 for us in north Alabama. It too starts at 12:00 P.M. so we do a cook out and talk about the year before I love it. But the part I love the most is the ice cold beer after the hunt.lol

I promised a friend he can bow hunt for turkey on my deer lease, and he has promised to let me dove hunt on his famiy's land so I have some free hunting this year.

I live in Yukon, Oklahomabut have grown up in lawton and all of my family live in Lawton and our family farms are all South of there. Who is your friend? Are you an OKC guy or Lawton? I also will be down there on the 1st-4th to shoot some dove.

I can't wait!!!!! Season opens Sept.1 here in TN. I've been shooting skeet and sporting clays during the off season and can't wait to try my hand at those fast flying little birds. Goose season also opens in TN on Sept.1.
