how to make slate calls

i am 16 and love making stuff so i would like to try and make my own slate call already made a box call but i really like slate calls so if someone could help me out with how to make every thing it would be great

find a good router to borrow and a straight bit...it's pretty easy, get some slate offline (exact sizes that way, and cheap) and then trace it out, and router it out, then cut out the size then glue in your slate (after making some sound holes ofcourse, and you can add some soundboards for better quality sound)...It's really simple.

getting the tools to make it is not a problem but where to buy the slate would help and what the diffrent woods will do for sound and how to make a striker

thanks to everyone that replied i was looking at the sites and i noticed that there are diffrent thikness of slate and glass ect what does the thinkness do to the sound of the call
