This mornin I got out and my papa thought he heard something so i used the crow call and i heard one gobble. so we walked up the road a little bit and he gobbled again so i knew he wasn't very far away so we set up and waited. Well there was like 3 people around us using owl hooters and stuff and he was gobbling up a storm. WHen it started getting light i did some soft yelps and he gobbled back everytime. I didn't call that much cuz i didn't want 2 hang him up. Well about 30 minuts later i see two hens fly down and i give a little louder yelp this time. And right after here comes the gobbler flying down. Turns out we was only like 60 or 70 yards from the roosted turkeys. The gobber immediately got into strutting and walked down the hill and 2 the edge of the road. One of the hens yelped/cutted and he gobbled once and he was only maybe 20 yards from me. My gun barrell was pointing the wrong direction[:@] and i knew if i tried to move it he would bust me and fly off. I just sit there and he turned around and waked away. I could tell he knew something wasn't right. When he turned around i did some lound cuts/ yelps and some purrs and one of the hens came down the hill and directly into the road only 10 feet from me. I just sit there VERY still. She was yelping and cutting very loudly. And she just walked back up the hill to where the gobbler was.
I am going out around the same spot tommrow hoping to find him again. My question is that do u think he was spooked enough and wont come back 2 my calls. And i should just go somehwere else? I will be walking up the same road. So maybe i will be able to find him again?
Any ideas?

You may want to give him a day or two rest before you go after him again. As long as he has the hens he'll be tough to hunt. Usually they say if you can call the hens the bird will follow. I haven't found that to be true. The opposite has been true all to often. He'll work the hens he's with in the AM, but usually by 11 or 12 he's sent them all to a nest and he'll come back looking for that pretty lady he heard earlier in the AM that wouldn't come out. Change the calls type and tone a little if you're worried he'll be spooky. Doesn't sound like you spooked him at all to me. He just wanted to go the other way. Certainly in a couple weeks when they hens are through with him he'll be looking really hard for any date and will be receptive to just about anything.

The hen responded becasue you pissed her off. She was looking to run off that hen that was calling to her tom. She was probably the boss hen of that group. I have had luck doing exactly that to get a tom to follow in. I found if a toms henned up. Call until you can get a hen to respond. Then match every call she makes to get the hen to come in, and hopefully the tom follows. Far as your tom, I'd also give him a couple days before heading back in after him. Then change up your type of calls. Don't use that same box, mouth call, whatever you used. If he was suspicious he'll remember those calls, and might hang up. Then if you changed after he's hung up, he still probably wouldn't come in. So change up right from the start. Also reposition your setup some. I wouldn't use that same exact spot. But move a few yards away from it. But also where gives you a good shot. Good luck.

I agree with david and buck. You didn't spook him and you pissed the boss hen in and she came into chase you out.
You could try the same area only set up at a different spot.
By calling in both a gobbler and hen there's no doubt you're doing the right calling.

Well here is what beats it all. This mornin on the bus I asked my couson where he was huntin at that mornin cuz i heard some hoot owl calls. And he was only right down the road from me. He said later that day he shot 6[:@] times at that turkey and missed everytime. AND HIS DAD shot 7 [:@] times and missed all 7 times to. He said he was flyin when he was shootin. That is just stupidity. Now that turkey is prolly taking counsolin (sry cant spell) or something. Well I did go back there sun mornin but only seen a hen! If i would of known he was gonna do something so freakin stupid i would of went ahead and tried 2 get the shot[:@] DANGIT
