Default any florida turkey hunters here?

i hunt turkeys in central florida. my neighbor and i both noticed that the gobblers don't seem to be gobbling. his luck has been using a kee kee run until hens come in and a lot of times a gobbler. so if ya'll have any input please let me know. my neighbor thinks that the hurricanes messed everything up. he also said that he heard them gobbling during gun season and is already seeing poults now.

Hunter, where in central FL? Toms are gobbling, especially around Brooksville.
Where are you from?

I got back from Chappy's Outfitters in Lakeport 2 weeks ago as I guide for them and seen the same problem. I also said that I wondered if the Hurrianes had something to do with it. They were very quiet and hunters had to work with suttle calling and watch for silent birds. I only heard 1 gobbler that worked well for a 2 1/2 week period...BT

After reading my post it looks as if I had a bad time hunting at this place , but I'll update my time just so readers don't take the wrong out look. We hunted 8 days and killed 7 Gobblers , but on the most part it was Silent hunts that killed the birds. Calling soft and sit and wait....

We had the same kind of luck in Northern florida. Some birds gobbled, but mostly were silent.
