Im glad im not alone in this. I hunted 3 days from the opener on Saturday and never heard one gobble. I know there are birds in the area because I killed one of them on Saturday. I hope this is just a temporary lull.

I'm right there with you, sbg. Had a terrible season last year, and this year's isn't starting out so well either. I went on a serious scouting mission last weekend and didn't hear a single turkey across several hundred acres of land I hiked through. Doesn't help that I'm limited to public land and that turkey harvests have been down the past couple years. [:@]

Oh, well. The season doesn't open for a couple more weeks, so I'll keep hitting the woods until I find what I'm looking for. Hang in there, too!
