Penetration test
Anybody ever do any test to see if the new hevi weight loads penetrate better than lead???
I've patterned a few loads into some plywood and it seems like the hevi shot loads do go in a little farther...

Yeah, 2 years ago I did, I was shooting Winchester copper plated 5's and Nitro Hevi-shot 5's at 40 yards. The Winchester loads went just about 1/2 way thru a 3/4" pine board and most of the Hevi-Shot went completely thru it and splintered the back side of it.
