lol... tryin to sleep... makes the time go faster till huntin starts... (3 more weeks) and there is alot of snow to go away... I hope it is gone by then... Last year i hunted while it was snowing... that sucks...

Hey bowdeer13... I see your in MI too.. So you know bout the snow here...lol or maybe you don't... Lake effect snow don't get over there much i guess... How bout turkeys??? you got a good place over there??? I sure as hell don't... Lost 1 place and the other, they are there, but can't ever seem to bein the right place at the right time... It a small piece of land and they hardly come to it... I'm sure you got too many and need help killin them...LOL

Actually XARMY55 the snow is almost gone over here! A few patches here and there in the denser woods but we are sure seein' the turkeys. Last year a friend and I were fortunate enough to call in two gobblers opening morning. Although we are seeing them it is a matter of setting up and letting the other hunters on the property know where we are, and then letting the slate call do the rest:) We are of course not anticipating the good fortune from last year but who knows! --- Just checked the weather, looks like a little more snow still to come - What do ya know!

We win the team logo, hands down. Snow's finally going here in Mass but 10" expected down towards the Cape tonight. Unless this stops pretty quick, it's gonna be dicey for the World Champs opener at Fenway, and brisk for the Marathon...

AM about 6:30. They were gobblin everywhere, but I called him out of the creek bottom into the field!! I couldn't have planned it any better!!
That 20 guage sure did a number on him!! He hit the ground, flopped a few times and it was all she wrote!! Hey, yall have a good easter!!

Don't you ever worry about it not being big enough.....just that ya got one is "Awesome" enough...Last year I was on the winning team....and we had some bird's that scored 20, 21...:)

A trophy or an accomplishment is measured by the individual and not the opinions of others. You done great. Post a pic when ya get a chance. Hey Little Indian, where are you hunting? I din't know there was anoth KY hunter on the team. Birds have been gobblin pretty good. Had good reports yesterday about birds where the youth hunt is this weekend. Can't wait to see the younguns get a few Sat morning.

I hunt in Russell Co. we have 900+ acres plus another 900 leased. I am worried that the logging that's going on will have an impact this year. Last year I called in 16 toms & we killed 11 of them. The ones that survived either came in as multiple birds or jakes. Where do you hunt Roost em 1st?

If you aren't doing anything this Sat, we are having a NWTF Banquet at the Russell Co High School. The doors open at 5 PM CST. And on Sat. April 9th we are having a NWTF Sanctioned Still Target Shoot at the Russell Co. Sportsman's Club in Russell Springs.

There are several turkeys in a certain residential area that has a few woods and fields where there is no hunting, and I saw them the other day... OMG!!!! 5 toms all with at least 12" beards and they looked like bloody ostriches!!!!!! They are HUGE!!!!!!! seriously, they were so tall... I was told about them but never seen them till the other day... That same patch of woods held a 22 point monster whitetail, till it was hit by a car last fall... Just thought i would share that...
