Turkey hunt with a bow ?
I am plannin on hunting with a bow, well at least for a couple days. Where, in your opinion, would it be easier to set up. Along a feild edge or in a woods along a ridge. I know by scouting and hunting they are in both places, so just wondering where you would set up. OH and i know that there are bird that roost at the end of this ridge as well as along the field edge. Any help would be great .....Thanks

You are going to use a blind right ?
If so I would set up at both spots.
Then you can take your spot to hunt that day.
Try the ridge in the am and then the feild in the pm.
How ever way you do it Good Luck

RE: Turkey hunt with a bow ?
Shot one last spring with my bow. I was set up on a field edge where they like to assemble in the morning. The grass around the field was fairly tall, and I was keeling against a tree in the grass. I had a decoy set at 15 yards in the field. Now, I know there was some luck involved here, but at one point that bird was on strut, staring me in the face and gobbling at like 5 feet. He went on strut, turned his back, and THUMP! that was that. In retropsect, I would have had the decoy facing me, in hopes of getting him to turn around and face the decoy sooner. This year, however, I will be hunting from a blind. Last year was my first with a bow, and I learned plenty. With a blind, you can take it to em anywhere they are. They pay no attention to blinds at all.
