Jrbsr

I usually hear a tom spit before I hear him drumming. It sounds like VRROOOOOOOOOM.........TICK.
I never heard it on tape until I actually heard a bird doing it. I was walking and calling on a ridge and he gobbled over the flank. I setup and called he never gobbled again. But I kept hearing this strange noise from where he gobbled. VROOOOOOOM......Tick. I remember like it was yesterday and that was 15 years ago. Once you hear it hunting you will never forget it. NWTF Cd has it on it.

When you hear a turkey do it, you can feel it in your chest, i remember it as a "SFIT......VROOOOOOOM" "SFIT.......VROOOOOM". I love that feeling!

Its a good sound to recogonize. Just this past tuesday morning I called a turkey in for my son and after locating him with one gobble. He never gobbled again only to hear him 5 minutes later drumming at 30 yds. He stood there strutting for several minutes before I finally saw him. Unfortunately he decided enough was enough and turned and walked off. I could have smoked him but my son couldent get a shot.
Hope you find what your lookin for...
