I have been shooting the Winchester HV #5 thru my 835 / a .655 Hastings choke and have been getting awesome results. I have killed several birds just beyond 40yds with this setup. Although even though my gun is a 3 1/2 in I have been shooting the 3in loads because they were patterning slightly better than the 3 1/2. I tried everything at first from Federal to about 3 different Remington brands including the Hevi-shot. The Hevi-shot did pattern just as well as the Winchester but for the price I stuck w/ Winchester. I don't think you can go wrong with either out of this gun. LOL
