Default Better turkey choke for mossburg 500`

Has anyone tried a different choke in their mossburg 500 other than the standared ultra full that comes with it? Not even sure if theres another turkey choke out there that fits this. Trying to get a more uniform pattern. Ive tried just about every brand and shot size.
Maybe i just need a new gun.

I use to hunt with a 500... I used an H.S. Strut Undertaker choke. I'm thinking they are still under $20. It held a very good pattern at 40 yards.

I shoot the factory extended turkey tube with mine, and get a nice pattern.

I had a Mossberg 500... that I wish I had back. It was unreal, but I was was too inexperienced back then to know what I had as far as the pattern it produced. Heck, I thought all shotguns patterned that good. I've had a number of turkey guns since, made just for turkey, that would'nt come close to that little Mossberg 500.

It was one of the early camo models... just your regular 28" barrel with threaded chokes. I decided I wanted to hunt turkeys with it and bought a Hastings non ported extended turkey choke for about 28 bucks. I lucked into that for sure... 'cause it absolutley stomped the pattern board at 40 yards. I was shooting Winchester 3" turkey shells... High Velocity 1 3/4 oz. of #6 shot. Man, it was golden. The choke was a .665 and I'd suggest you try one in yours. Maybe it's what your gun likes too. Worth a try.

I use an Undertaker made by H.S. Strut. Cost me $19.99. Hold a great pattern at 40-45 yards. I use winchester 3 inch mag loads #6 shot.1 1/2 or 1 3/4 oz I think.

Just bought my Under taker H.S. based on this thread. I'll let you know how it goes in about 30+/- hrs. Thanks for the information.
