limbsaver is a-1. well worth the money. i try to use the very best products i can buy so that i can enjoy my sport to the fullest. It isn't very much fun when your shooting magnum loads with out a limbsaver.

DuckHunter, I think he's asking about the bolt on replacement pad that goes on the stock of your gun. I'f I didn't read into your post too much, I think you are speaking about a recoil pad that you wear like a vest, but only on the side that the butt of the gun rests against your shoulder. Right?
The Simms Limbsaver recoil pad that replaces the butt plate on your gun I have tried... just this week on a friends X2. The 3 1/2" shells were no longer uncomfortable patterning off the bench and I will have one on my gun before the season opens.

I put one on my benelli. Don't notice much of a difference on low brass shells, but the 3' shells on the light m1-90 feel almost like the the low brass loads. Worth the price if you use the gun for ducks, geese and turkey.

Finally got to the range to pattern my turkey gun. I LOVE that limbsaver pad. Granted, my Remington 870 is heavier than my friends Mossberg 835, but we were going shot for shot and he had to quit because his shoulder hurt so much. In the past, I have gotten black and blue from patterning sessions but yesterday's session was painless! What a great product.
