Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Yes a quota is required for opening wk-end at Green Swamp and a quota is required for Richloam the first 9days.

I got lucky this year and got both Green Swamp and Green Swamp West Quotas.

Should be a blast.

12 days and a wake up:

Went scouting for the first time this year due to work. Hit the mother load. A small flock of hens and two toms were going at it. First time I ever got to see the "Show". Really was something to see. Strutting and thrumping their wings. Even gobbled.

Blood is really pumping now. Have an uncle coming down here for the first time. He has hunted turkeys for over 35 yrs. But never a true blood. Should be fun.

Trying like heck to get off of work tomorrow but will probably only get out in the afternoon for the last minute scouting before our opener on Sat. Zeroed in on them better than the last two seasons but have the feelers out and hear through the grape vien that there may be lots of hunters out this year.[:@]

I know it's bad but I'm counting on the rain to hold back some of the weekend warriors. Have an uncle coiming in tomorrow, to hunt Osceolas for the first time.

30 +/- hours and counting.
