I was just wondering what the best choke constriction for the 835 is. I know the barrel is .731 inches, and I think turkey chokes run somewhere around .690. What have you found works best? I shoot Hevi-shot 3.5" #5's through a truglo choke now, I dont know the constriction of it. What do you guys think?

12 pointer,
835's are backbored, so usually chokes that are not as tight work better in them. I would say a choke between .690 and .675 would work well with 5 shot.
I like my Com-N-choke. I use 6 shot and my choke is either .670 or .675, But Com-N-Choke's are not made for Hevy shot either.

ok, my information was a little off. The bore diameter of the barrel is .775. The choke diameter according to the truglo site is .695 and is rated as 4X full. My choke is the gobble stopper extreme, which IS rated for hevi-shot, just not steel or tungsten shot. thanks
