What are your best/favorite diaphragm calls? I just got a Primos Boss Hogg this evening and I think its quickly becoming my favorite. It has a great sound. I was just curious about which calls everyone else uses.

I use H.S. Strut calls #1 Split V III, #2 Strut Cutt. Great for tone range and volume control. I can do anthing form a Kee Kee to a gobble on them.

Bobgobble2, how do you like those tone trough calls? I have bought 2 of them and I hated them. I didnt think they were any easier to use, and they didnt fit in my mouth very good. The sound wasnt bad, but I like the primos and hs strut alumistrut calls better. but if they work for you, good.

Give Heart of Dixie a try- particularly the devastator 2 & 3. The MADD shippwreck & metcalf cutter are fine calls as well. I've heard others raving about Hook's diaphragms but haven't tried them yet.

I dont know about all you pro's but when I find a mouth call brand i like the next time I buy one they dont sound the same so for me I change up from year to year. But for the most consistent mouth call i would have to go with the night and hale pro series...

12 the only one I like in the tone trough model IS the old boss hen!It fits my palate perfectly enabling me to produce some pretty good turkey talk without a whole lot of effort and with very little to no break-in time!The tone to me sounds as real as any hen I've heard afield!It did to this badboy too!!!!

As of right now I like Knight & Hale, 2nd choice is Quaker Boy but I'm thinking about trying out some Woodhaven Pro's
