HighKnob--- come on up to Missouri,, it cant be beat, If interested, there is lots of public land in the county I live in. Lots of good opportunity for a good gobbler, and I happen to know about a lease or two in the area that are private land, but they tend to fill up pretty quickly, but they arent full yet. We have a 14500 acre state park, with super turkey hunting, and then we also have Mark Twain State Forest, which consists of hunreds of thousands of acres in the southern part of the state, all excellent turkey hunting.

Vermont has TREMENDOUS populations of turkey right now and tons of public land to hunt. There are so many of them, they are eating all the deer food and competing for habitat with the deer. The state is literally infested with them. There is also a 2 bird limit there and out of state fees are reasonable as well. I saw 6 legal gobblers in 3 days of hunting there on land that I hadn't been on in 8 years, and 3 of them were mature birds.

Ya Dennis , there a few around still. I was getting worried there for a spell as the snow was up about 3 feet a week ago, we had a thaw so that helped.

The offer still stands , I never go back on my word ...BT
