RE: Turkey Gun Mossburg????
I love my Mossberg 835. It is my dedicated turkey gun and would not trade it!! Having said that---I have never tried another gun for turkey hunting. Just know that I have hit upon a proven combination and don't need to look any further.

I own a 20 gauge mossburg. I've only taken a hen with it.. but that is the only chance at a bird i've had. i use it for squirrell and rabbit as well.. you can change to different chokes.. i have been very happy with it!!

I have the 835 combo. I have not had the pleasure of taking a turkey with it yet, but from what I have seen it patterns great with a factory turkey tube. I have taken a few deer with it, one at 75 yds aiming dead on.
My 2 cents it is a great gun for the money. I got the combo for just over 300, thats a 24" VR turkey barrel with changable tubes and a rifled deer barrel with integrated scope mount.
Great all around gun, DON'T KNOCK IT TILL YOU'VE TRIED IT !!!![:@]

I have an 835 also and there is nothing wrong with it. I have killed 8 with it and never have missed one. I will have to say though now I use a Remington 1187SM only because it really reduces the amount of kick you feel and it's a semi-auto. I don't have any plans to get rid of it because I don't want to take the chance of my 1187 messing up and be stuck without a gun. They (835) are very reliable.
