I only hunt Oseola's. never had a chance to go out of Fla. to hunt.My largest was a 21 1/2 lbs. 10 1/2" beard.(real nice for an Oceola).a lot of 18 and 19 pounders.
on the other end. I took one along the Swannee river that was only 12 lbs. he looked a lot bigger when he came in in full strut.he had an 8 1/2" beard,he was not poor just a small bird.(I though ;I have killed a large Quail)
all his wing feathers only had the qiul for the last 4".he had done a loy of strutting and fighting.(for such a small bird)

My very first turkey was a jake. He weighed 18#'s and sported a 3" beard. A truly whopper of a bird at the age of 13, at least that's what I thought at the time after running close to a quarter mile back to my house to wake up Mom and Dad.
The biggest bird was 24#'s, the longest beard was a little over 11". Most of the birds I have taken weigh around the 20-22 mark, beards around 9". I think that is average for Missouri.

I generally don't weigh my birds, they're either really heavy, medium heavy, or sorta heavy. I measure the size of the bird by the beard.
Smallest was last year - 2 3/4"
Largest was this year - 9"

i went turkey hunting for the first time in my life this year (NW Iowa).......i filled my tag, but i've only got one bird to tell you about.......i think this one will by my largerst for a long time to come........24 lbs 7oz......11.25 beard......1.5 spurs.........getting this Eastern as my fist should generally make my future turkey hunting anti-climactic.........it's currently at my taxidermist........also ordered an oak with curved glass display case to show him off when he gets home.......

I've killed several hybrids rio/merriam crosses over the years here in Calif that scored in the mid 70 point range as far as my biggest! As far as the smallest we've been fortunate to have a fall season here in Calif for years and I kill a bird of the year every year for the Thanksgiving dinner table sometimes even a hen, usually in the 10 to 12 lb class!!
