1st bird was 47 yards
2nd was about just over 10 yards
3rd was about 30 yards all 3 birds went down for the count with 1 shot from my own handload shot out of my Ithica Mag10....2 1/4 ounces of #4 lead!One of the smartest things I ever did was to start loading my own 10 gauge turkey loads!!

Most of the birds I've taken have been inside 30 yards. I have a gun that I want to hunt with that looks like it might not pattern past 35 yards. My luck the first time I use it the gobbler will be at 40 yards just struttin his a#$ off

Well the two Rios were both at 45 yards. I had a hard time judging distance in that more open rocky country of the Texas Hill Country.
The eastern was at 16 yards.
