ok, i know i will catch hell for this... first bird ever, 53 yards, dropped in his tracks. kept them close after that except for this year. with a rangefinder after the fact, first bird dropped at 43 yards. 1 minute later, second one fell at around 47, both dead when i got to them. i shoot an mossberg 835, undertaker choke( old style, i guess it is). winchester supreme's HV, 3.5's, #4. never patterned the gun.

60 to 65 yards was the farest winchester 2oz 5 shot 3 inch supremes...11-87 sps

Man vt for someone who didn't pattern there gun you sure did pretty good. My gun with #4's at 40 yards I'm lucky to get 2 hits in the vitals. That's not going to work for me!!!
I'm surprised you even took time to try another choke
