I'm headed to Ky to hunt turkeys for one day. (Monday, April 19th) Need to know how much it is for an out of state liscense?
Or, what website to go to to find out.

a non-resident hunting liscense will run you $115 and the spring turkey tag is $20. If for some reason you want to check out the website, its www.kyafield.com Good luck on the longbeard!!

Thanks a bunch! That's pretty pricey for one day. I think I may just follow along on this hunt and be with the other hunter. It will be my first time to hunt turkey. I could use the instruction.

I sure hope you have a great day. If they're gobbling and coming to the calls you're in for a LOT of fun. You'll never be the same. Some days can just be magical and others a complete bust. Here's hoping your day is golden. I just love bow hunting deer, but I get to do that anytime. I wish I lived closer to some turkeys so I could do that more. My first outing will be in NY. I leave on Wed 28th late or Thursday for the opener on May 1. I'll scout and play golf the first two days and hunt turkeys Sat and Sun AM with whatever other numbskulls try to mess us up. Every once in a while we get a year that's just perfect and no one is around. It keeps us coming back. I don't care if I EVER shoot a turkey. In fact, I usually don't carry a weapon and just call for my buddy. I've probably called in 20 birds for him over the years. I finally broke down and shot a couple 3 or 4 years ago because he insisted. I'm back to calling and picture taking. This is me with opening morning 2 years ago. We were out of the woods by 7:30 and on the golf course by 9.

Thanks so much. That means a lot coming from you. I'll let ya know how it goes. This hunt (or non hunt, just learning time) is what I asked for for my birthday. Couldn't think of a better way to spend the day.
Nice picture...frameable!

Sunset, we'd love to have you come down hunt in Ky, but I can speak from experience, calling them in is going to be tough. On opening day, I threw every call I had in my bag and got nothing. If you decide to hunt here, you'll have to put yourself in the "right" place. After a hard morning of hunting, I ended taking this bird with my bow. He went a little over 17lbs, 6 inch beard and had 5/8 spurs.
