Default Weighing in those toms...

Hey, What kind of weighing device do you use to weigh your turkeys for accurate weight? Seems a bathroom scale wouldn't work to well but I was thinking of a fish scale or something of the sort. Would y'all let me know what you use please..Thanks

Yep a fish scale works great but I have been known to stand on a bathroom scale holdin the bird. Then I weigh myself without the bird and subtract that to get the weight of the bird.Since I'm still only 150lb my last bird weighed about 50lb

In MD, our checking stations weigh every deer and every turkey checked in.

The turkeys are weighed to the nearest ounce on certified scales in the checking stations I've used.

Check in Bass Pro or Cabela's for Berkley's 0-50 lb electronic fish scale. Price wise I think they run $29.95. They work slick!!

Yep, we have a chieck in station that weights our birds, but they weigh them in Kilo's so you have to convert to LBS.
