Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

When you deal with as many folks as use this board you're gong to have a bit of friction once in a while.

As a moderator for a board you want to enforce the rules that have been set by the owner of the board while still respecting the members that use it.

I have alway felt that you have done this very well Adrain. Just try to remember that there are a lot of us who appreciate how you help out here. Don't worry about the rest of them.

This board is awesome! The folks on here are helpful, insightful and often funny. Don't change a thing! I've received some great help, especially for info on out of state hunts. Can't wait for the spring pix

KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB

Adrian- Being a moderator on a popular board is a thankless job. When you're doing a great job, you probably seldom hear praise. Your satisfaction can be derived from the fact all is running smooth. With the number of members there are here, it is inevitable that you will (and we all will) have to deal with morons from time to time. The fact that one or several of these morons decided to spew their crap upon the forum moderator shouldn't deter you from doing the great job you have been doing. If more than just a few indicate to you that you have been abusing your "power" as a moderator, then I'd step back and re-evaluate how I was running things. If just a few complain, although it disturbs you, you should probably try to shrug it off. You can't please all of the people all of the time, but I believe most here are happy with the job you have been doing.

Being a moderator has to be a thankless job, just like being a cop, but someone has to do it, or the outlaws will rule. Sometimes it must get pretty lonely, and for us to not tell you thanks for your good work from time to time is OUR shame. I've enjoyed this board fully, and I know you have contributed by serving as the moderator. I've been on boards where regulars spend most of their time hurling insults for page after page, and I rarely go back. I love this board, and hope that you don't quit!! And if my crack about hearing from the family once in a while when Gobbling Buck announced his daughter's birth upset you, I'm sorry. I was just funnin'.

My 2 cents! I think you do a great job, mainly you seem like more a member of the board than the moderator. I prefer that type of leadership. The kind that is by influence less than by authority. Don't let one bad seed get you down!

Adrian, Don't loose sight of what your job is. Remember, you are part of a public service that is provided for us. A free service at that. It's a job, not something to dictate you life. Do the job that you were hired to do and give up on trying to please everyone. You, as a human, cannot please everyone. You do what you think is in the best interest of your employer and yourself. Everything else will be just fine. God Bless.

Adrian I know where you are at my friend. Try Moderating a Testing/Trialing forum on dogs.

Now that is conflict. But I had support of others and I did as you do - that is send a PM and ask them politely to re-read the rules of the game here!

Then if not - they be gone - simple as that.

It bothered me at first - but there is too much good that comes from this forum to help those and discuss with us verterans and novices alike.

Ya I know it is a pain at times - but then ask for help - your task could be shared and that is what I did.

You and I have chatted a bit over on Mary's corner and I for one value your knowledge and experience you have given to me and the rest of us here and elsewhere!

Kicking one or two off is like taking the rotten apple outa the barrel to save the others.

My vote is stay -
