Default Biggest Bird

What is the biggest bird you have bagged? what calls did you use to bag it? and did decoys play an important role in the hunt?

23 Pound Eastern in Mississippi
No decoy
Right spur: 1 3/4 inches
Left spur: 1 7/8 inches
Beard 1: 11 3/4 inches
Beard 2: 7 1/4 inches
Used a Country Boy Yelpin Hussy Diaphram
This bird was the strutter of three gobs
Called the two satellite gobs in first, the strutter spotted them across the field and came running in.
One shot with 3.5 Remington Hevi-shot #6's

It was a Kansas Rio , a 24.5 fat a** Rio , The bird only supported a 8.5 beard and the spurs where rounded and wore to a total of 7/8ths of an inch. The land was very rocky in the area, so I beleive the spurs must have wore because of the shape. Just used a mouth call, not sure I've changed so many...BT

Ive got one that went 27 1/4 lbs, 11 inch beard, 1 3/8 spurs, he was a monster. He is one of the few birds that have came right up to my feather flex decoy. Ive also taken two that went 25 lbs and 26 lbs. Weve got some real thumper birds on our farm in central MO.

Some of you guys have some big birds in your areas. 25 and 26# birds are unheard of where I live. The biggest I've ever heard of around here was 24#s. Ive killed a good many 22# birds but never any bigger. I think my longest spur length was about 1 3/8 and beard somewhere around 11.
I almost allways use mouth calls but sometimes use a Lohman thunder dome glass.
