I can only tell you from my own experence.

I had one and a boy that works with me had one ( the main word is HAD one)they were junk guns.

they both had a problem with ejecting the spent shell and not loading a hot one.

Mossberg could not or would not fix them.[:@] I would rather have a slingshot to hunt with.or a single barrell shotgun,(because that was all I could get , was one shot.

I would go with a rem. 870 supermag instead. much better gun....similar price. NEF makes a really inexpensive single shot if you just looking for a turkey gun. i have heard they are very nice...for a single shot.

I have had a mossberg 835 for about 10 yrs. I guess . I have used it for rabbit, grouse, goose and ducks .This year I may try it for turkey if I don`t connect with the bow. I use it at the range all the time. I have never had a problem with it. Shoots a great variety of shells and I can switch the barrels with ease. A budy has a 500 he has had for years and it still shoots great. That is one of the reasons I bought the mossberg over the others. All can say is from my experience it is a great gun .

I have the gun. Great gun too. I bought a used one for $150.00. It kinda jams up when loading a new shell but it was used. I just got a beat up one so I could drag it through the woods and not really have to worry about it. Also it doesn't kick as much as my other guns.

I guess they are OK but a Remington 870 beats them hands down IMO and they don't cost much more.
