do u field dress turkeys?
ok another question from a first timer, what do u do after u shoot your bird? field dress it? unfortunately my only acquantence that bird hunts is out of state for another 8 months
any help is greatly apreciated

no,I don't feild dress,it usually doesn't take me but about an hr.to get home and dress my bird.
if it takes you 2 or 3 hrs. or more I would say yes go ahead.

lay the bird on it's back,there is a thin skin betwen the end of the breast and the rectum.cut around the hole split that thin skin,reach into the cavity and pull out all that is inside.pour water in the cavity and rinse out.
if it is a while befor you get home,place the bird into an ice chest with some ice.your through till you finish cleaning.
