Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Strange hunt on tv...

Just caught an osceola hunt on a show called hunting across america. Dude bagged an osceola that was hanging out with about 5 or 6 other toms. The other turkeys didn't spook. Then you hear someone cutting on a call, I guess to keep the other birds around, and then the hunter opens up a gobbler's tail fan, hides his face behind it, and stalks up closer to the birds... Then he starts doing something with his deke, not sure what, while he's still hiding behind the fan. At least they put up a warning banner saying don't try this at home unless you are certain there aren't any other hunters in the area... Looks like a great way to get a face full of No. 4s... Anybody else catch this??

Wow![] It's amazing what some shows will do to get some footage. That doesn't sound like a good scenario for a beginning hunter to be watching!

I too am glad that I missed that show. Safety should be the utmost concern when taping these programs. New hunters might think this method a valid hunting tactic.

Thats too bad because I actually like this show!!There suppose to edit that kind of crap but I guess they'd rather try and be comical in the turkey woods.Aint nothin wrong with a good laugh but to set an example like that is assinine!!![:'(]I get sick of watchin guys shoot 2 or 3 times or even miss on some of these series.I always thought this was pretty much a one shot sport,it is for me!!!
