Yesterday was my last opportunity to deer hunt this year. Things were slow with the deer and the season was coming to a close fast. But then---like the closing ceremonies of the olympic games where the next country gets to display it's stuff---7 long beard gobblers walked out and through the field. I watched them for almost 20 minutes. I had not seen a turkey all deer season long. What a way to pump me up for turkey season which starts in about 6 weeks.

I've seen a lot of turkeys this year too. It seems to be a pretty good year. I've been watching a few longbeards myself. Good luck. BB

I saw to many birds to count during shotgun deer season. The land we hunt on, which is my uncle's, is always full of deer and turkey. As much as I love deer, pheasant, and waterfowl hunting.....turkey hunting is my favorite. Seeing all those Toms really makes me anxious for spring!
