Not a problem, this year we're going to use a blind. That way she can see the reward for staying still & will have the mind over matter to not wiggle. I love that woman to death & she is really smart but. PRIME EXAMPLE ! Last night I'm looking at a new pair of bino's for the AK trip a nice set of 10X42. She says why do you need them when you have a big ol' spotting scope? I gave her a very nice answer & then she says so my little compact binos wouldn't be enough? Nooooooooooo! I thought to myself did anything I just said sink in? LOL

Don't be rude. She's still a rookie. Let her take her little bino's if she wants to. You'll have the big bino's and the spotting scope if you really need to zoom in on something, and you won't be weighing her down with extra gear. Besides, you know she's not leaving your side the whole trip. You'll get all of the eye strain, and she'll get to look briefly through her scope right before she pulls the trigger. We both know how that deal is gonna play out. What you should do is take her to some really big clearcuts and have her look for birds in the tops. That should be a good lesson on quality optics. At least she's willing to learn. Mine doesn't care about it AT ALL.

Wayne, you look like you need some turkey control on your place. I'll bet the reason they are so elusive during the season is those are Southernese turkey. I'll bet they just don't understand your eastern WA turkey talk. It just doesn't have that drawl they like so much.
Bldhound, you guys should do some yote hunting. Maybe we could turn a turkey scouting trip into a yote hunt after we've gotten tired of walking.

Sounds good bro, I have the tools & the skills to stack up some yotes like cord wood. I'll even make you a deal..............since you were wanting some hides. Every stinking yote that I lay down you can have, I'll even be nice enough to give you some skinning tips (upwind of course) so you get the most $$ for them. If you're serious about going let me know so I can clear some of my scheduled OT. We also need to set aside a WE to go chase a kitty or 2, I know of a couple of places that have nice #'s of kitty cats.
