Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

TB, I would use a Rocket 100gr. Hammerhead broadhead. This mechanical head cuts a 2&quot; hole. This alone would nock the snot right out of the snood of any gobbler providing that you placed your arrow into the vitals!! Some guys use a string tacker for bowhunting turkeys. I have to admit, I never tried it myself as yet with a bow. They can be tuff enough with a gun at times!!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

trailblazer, that 2&quot; cut broadhead maytom is talkin about would
be the thing for turkey huntin. but, I just use the same broadheads
i use for deer huntin. 3 blade 100gr muzzys. I'm not so sure it's
necessary for the broadhead to stay in the turkey. I've watched(on tv)
bunches of gobblers fly and or run off with the arrow still in em.
I shot a jake this fall right through the wing, and cut it in half
with that muzzy. they can't fly off with a broken wing, and you can always
put another arrow in em to finish em off. my arrow cut the wing and went all
the way through.
I keep the same poundage as when deer huntin. 65 lbs, gives me the speed
i need, and I'm confortable pullin it back. don't get no better than
takin a turkey with a bow does it?<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

My son & I use same as deer hunting 65# 70#
3 blade Rocky Mountains. We do use string tracker in spring-no trouble & we shoot out of a blind. Son shot one this fall at 10 yds. & it went 0 feet.

always thankful

I'll use my 100 gr. 3 blade Spitfire mechanicals . I prefer the arrow to stay in the bird .
