Will be my 7th yr as I teach a state sanctioned Learn to Hunt program which is free to anyone 10 to 110 yrs of age. If you never Turkey hunted, never possessed a Turkey license we teach the basics from firearm safety, to hunting methods, calls to use and how to pattern a sgotgun.
After class you are paired with a mentor who takes you on a 2 day guided hunt.
And it's all free

Way to go JW! I got turkeys on my brain too. This year, I'm passing on opening week and going late season this year. My idea is that late season birds will be a little less call shy as they move from private land back into the public area. It's a strategy I haven't hunted in many years, but has worked before. 10-12yrs ago, I busted a tom on April 12, Our season runs Mar 1 to Apr 15.

Well I was out on a meet and greet for a potential new 80 to bear hunt and stumbled into a dyno Turkey area.
I saw well over 200 birds.
And I have 2 new property leads for bear too.
I'm a kid again.
I know I can get access. I bet it is hardly pressured.
