Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Favorite time of year as long as the tick behave!

Still debating on if I want to get the wife a 20 gauge. Guess it will depend on how often she will be willing to go out with me. Then again I suppose I could always use it if she don't.

Kelly,
I purchased a youth Remington 870 all matt black in a 20 guage.
Added a Square D scope mount , Buck Creek neoprene monte carlo cheek pad and a 4x scope I had laying around.
Added a Primos turkey choke tube and use Winchester Supreme #5.

Awesome turkey setup. I did this for my grandkids and now use it myself.
more than my old 11-87.

I can’t wait! Although it seems like I have a lot of stuff to get ready before season starts. The off season always seems so long but then before I know it I’m running out of time to prepare

Definitely looking forward to it! I picked up a Mossberg 500 12 gauge turkey gun a few weeks ago (got talked into the combo barrel kit, but it was worth it because I was then able to give my Mossberg 500 20 gauge to my son )

Gotta practice the calls!!

Will be my 7th yr as I teach a state sanctioned Learn to Hunt program which is free to anyone 10 to 110 yrs of age. If you never Turkey hunted, never possessed a Turkey license we teach the basics from firearm safety, to hunting methods, calls to use and how to pattern a sgotgun.
After class you are paired with a mentor who takes you on a 2 day guided hunt.
And it's all free
