Default Turkey hunting North Central Texas

Iím trying to plan a hunting trip to either the black hills region of Wyoming or a hunt on a ranch around Avent,Texas. Being Iím not familiar with either area, I was wondering if anyone would have an opinion? Any help would be appreciated. Iíll be hunting turkeys. Iím really curious about turkey numbers.
