Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

It's the last day of the 2017 Wi Black powder deer season and I have turkeys gobbling off the roost! :-)

I still have a turkey tag! But my 50 cal is not legal.

I suppose when I get back to turkey hunting. I'll see the ,30 pt buck.

Its strange for sure. I was having the same thing wile out during the rifle season. They would gobble from the roost till about 3 hours after fly down. For the first few days it was just the jakes but after a that all the Toms were joining in.

A few years ago in Jan, I was in a lock-on in E. AL and heard a flock of turkeys go off right before sunrise. Toms, jakes, and hens raised all kind of heck. I thought a bobcat or something might've gotten them stirred up. But, the next morning it was the same thing.

I asked the lease about going in there the following spring. The paper company scheduled that area for thinning, and the roosting area got cut for a road.

Never saw any deer.
