What sling do you use?

What sling do you use?
I hunt with a Mossberg 835 and 3,5" shells. I also have a scope mounted on it---which makes for a heavy combination. Currently I have a nylon sling---but was looking to get a padded sling to make the day go a bit easier. Anybody found a good shotgun sling lately?

Sour,I also pack a heavy load in my firearm.(Ithica mag 10)The best sling I' ve found for it as far as comfort and trouble free as far as sliding off your shoulder, is one of Butler Creeks neoprene shotgun slings.Just my own personal opinion but I dont care for the hardware of the swivel assembly on my turkey gun.I" ve had them come loose and squeak too! This is a loop assembly and is extremely quiet and really does lighten your load as a result of the shock absorbing system! It comes in a variety of camo patterns too..Go here to take a peek....

I believe my sling is an Uncle Mike' s padded cordura model that attaches with sling swivels. I don' t care for the sling on the gun when I set up so I just detach the swivels and lay the sling beside me or put it in my vest until I am ready to move on to a new setup.

The current one I use is by Quake Industries, their " Claw Sling" . The main thing I like about it is that it stays on my shoulder and doesn' t slip off. I hate it when you sneaking through the woods and your gun all of a sudden decides to slip down off your shoulder at the worst possible moment!!! I don' t know what kind of rubberized plastic material they use, but this stuff feels like it' s glued to your shoulder!! I' m always on the look out for the latest and greatest sling as well!!

I won' t buy any other sling than a neoprene butler creek sling. They are great, they don' t slip off your shoulder and they really seem to cusion the load on your shoulder. I started to use them a few years ago and have not looked back since.
